Tldr: LinkedIn fucked me up, So I’m starting my own selfish website …
I’ve started writing on LinkedIn in 2022
(Yeah its a cringe, worst platform, blah blah blah…)
but I’m on it for over 4+ years… I’ve got sooo much from it.
Met shit ton of cool people,
My first internship,
My first client,
My first international client,
Made my first internet $ from that, & lot more….
But now few days back my LinkedIn account has been restricted (aka banned me) without saying anything & for thing I’ve never did. So yeah It feels like my whole digital identity been erased within few minutes that I built slowly over 4+ years…
I’m In the process of recovering it, still no meaningfull progress up till now, but I’ll update If I got it back…
Update: On 1.7.26 I got my account back… I didn’t even have to verify identity, I’ll write a separate post on how did i got it back, with whole story. Anyways for whatever reason LinkedIn banned me, honestly, that might be the best thing that’s happened cause I finally decided to start this.
In the mean time I’ve been reading a book called “show your work” by Austin Kleon, I’ve completed his 2 other books, now I’m in the middle of “Show your work” He said if you just take one thing from this book.. start your own blog
It felt like he is saying that personally to me…
I’ve been also thinking for a long time like to create a digital garden, personal blogs, SubStack something where I can store my writings (haha.. I don’t write that much, but I wanted to) & write whatever I want, I learn, I think (that’s good for internet too… 😉)
So we’re here now
Bit of technical details: I’m using Papermod with Hugo (For the UI/reading exp on my site) I’m using obsidian with GitHub (for writing & to update it regularly) & Antigravity by google (for my coding ide)
I’m not going use any AI for even grammar, Idea’s or whatever. It going to be completely “me” So if its difficult to read I’m really sorry, I’m trying to improve…
btw, In mean time here are few awesome blogs, that I found online randomly in the same way someone credited or added hyperlink to their site.. & I’m here to continue that.
(I’ll update this list regularly If I found some coool blogs, that I personally like)
